Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

Terms of Use and Disclaimer

Please read these Terms of Use before using the Cultivate Farms website. They set out what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Be a good person

Cultivate Farms aims to be a safe and supportive place for everyone who uses it. We expect everyone to be treated with respect and kindness.

We work to these principles:

Be supportive of everyone's farming dreams. Be positive and encouraging. Support all the different ways there are to farm.

If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's consent to use this website.

Unacceptable behaviour

Cultivate Farms does not tolerate bullying, harassment or discrimination in any form. Anyone who treats others unacceptably can be refused access to this website and to anything we run.

Cyber security

Cultivate Farms takes cyber security seriously and has controls in place to keep your use of this website secure.

Communicating outside this website

We can only be responsible for the security of communication that happens through this website. Anything that happens outside it is outside our control.

Your details

You do not need an account to use this site. If you start a plan we will ask for an email address so we can send it to you and so you can come back to it later.

We do not pass your details to anyone else. The information you give us is used as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Your plan

The plan this site builds comes from what you tell us. It is general information to help you think, not legal, financial or tax advice. The disclaimer at the foot of every page applies to it.

Using our guides with AI

Our guides are written to be worked through with an AI tool of your choosing. We do not control those tools and we are not responsible for what they tell you. An AI can sound certain and still be wrong, particularly about tax, legal structures and anything specific to your situation.

Use what comes out of it as a starting point for the conversations that follow, with your family, your accountant and your solicitor. It is not advice from us and it is not advice from them.

What you share with us

Your plan is yours. If you build a plan on this site, or send one to us, we use it to help you. We do not publish it and we do not pass it on.

Sometimes we will ask whether you would like to share your story, a photo or a video, for our newsletter, a case study or social media. That is always a separate question and always your choice. If you say yes, you keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to use it in our own communications. You can ask us to stop using it and we will, from then on.

What you send us needs to be yours to send, or something you have permission to share.

Other websites

This website may link to websites we do not own or control. We take no responsibility for their content, products, services or practices. When you visit them you are subject to their terms and their privacy policies.

Our intellectual property

This website and its original content, features and functionality are owned by Cultivate Farms and protected by intellectual property law. Unless we say otherwise, all intellectual and industrial property rights in this website belong to Cultivate Farms or its licensors and must not be used without our written consent.

Our guides are free to download, read and work through. They are not free to republish or sell.

Restrictions on use

Cultivate Farms may at any time and without notice suspend or end your access to this website. For example, if you:

fail to comply with these Terms of Use; use this website or its content for a commercial purpose; use it for an illegal purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to anyone else's systems or networks; modify or tamper with the website; use it in a way that infringes someone else's rights; interfere with or disrupt networks connected to it; stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate or harm another person; or pretend to be someone you are not.

Liability

Consumer protection law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, and nothing here limits them.

Beyond those rights, Cultivate Farms is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or anything you take from it, including loss caused by our negligence, and including indirect or consequential loss.

What we publish is general information. The decisions about your farm, your family and your money are yours, and we say throughout that they should be made with your own accountant and solicitor.

If someone makes a claim because of you

If someone brings a claim against us because of something you sent us, or something you did, you agree to cover our costs in dealing with it, including legal costs.

Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Victoria. The parties submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

The Cultivate Farms newsletter

Every fortnight: one idea and one step to move your farm's future forward. Two minutes to read.

Which describes you?

Important: This platform provides general information. It is not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Every situation is different. Before making decisions, consult qualified professionals: an agricultural accountant, a solicitor experienced in farm succession, and a financial adviser. Cultivate Farms can recommend specialists if you need a referral.
