What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Previous practical experience on farm. We both hold Bachelor degrees in Agribusiness and Ellen holds a Dual degree in AgBusiness/Applied Science (Agronomy). Competent machinery operator with licences & tickets.

Why are you passionate about farming?

Both growing up on farms, we have a desire to one day own and manage our own farming operation. We are both passionate about managing the practical and administration aspects of running a successful farming business. Farming allows you to problem solve many day to day challenges and aim for better outcomes.

Best days of being a farmer:

Our dream farming enterprise would consist of a mixed cropping and livestock operation. The farm would have potential to develop a value-add component to the business as a secondary stream of revenue. Ideally we would love to live on-farm and be close to a small community. Being positioned within 2-3 hours drive of a regional centre or metropolitan market would be ideal for a successful value-add venture.
