What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Our positions in our respective occupations have allowed both of us to be educated and experienced in emerging agricultural technologies and practices. Agriculture is the only industry we have worked in having both grown up on family farms.

Why are you passionate about farming?

We are passionate about agriculture. Both of us grew up on farms and have had a keen aptitude for farming, but unfortunately both of us have not or will not inherit a farm. We have both worked on our family farm alongside our parents and grandparents igniting a passion for the agricultural industry. Our two sons (6 and 8 years old) are also keen little farmers, 'helping' dad with sheep work and operating machinery during seeding and harvest in his current farming employment.

Best days of being a farmer:

Our dream farm would be a mixed enterprise of sheep or/cattle and broadacre cropping in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The best days would be doing sheep and/or cattle work together as a family.
