What have you been doing to get farm ready?

We both farm with sheer determination, have been supporting/working together as a married team for the last 15 years. We complement each other. We farm with complete openness. We have both grown up on dairy farms, so you could say farming is in our blood. Working from Farm assistants to being self-employed. We have a good eye for attention to detail and always go that extra mile to get the best possible result. Problem solving, not giving up attitude!

Why are you passionate about farming?

LAND/ENVIROMENT- We see ourselves as caretakers of the land, creating a sustantable farm for future generations. COWS - Per cow/ha production. - Breeding. - Animal health - mating results - calves TECHNOLOGY - Seeing where dairy farming is going, what it looks like in the future PRODUCT - Supplying the 100% finest milk

Best days of being a farmer:

Our best day is when we lock away the cows at night and seeing content cows, water going on with irrigation, knowing that with tomorrows milk, will be touch and go whether it will all fit into the silo, looking around and seeing calves playing around the paddocks with fill tummys. Getting home and seeing our kids laughing and our nanny happy. Our dream farm... Australia is now our home. The possiblities of farm ownership are more than just a dream, they are a real possiblitiy. We are open to any state, a farm that our kids can grow up on (plant roots). Become involved/immersed in the community. Grow a beautiful garden. The farm itself has to offer us a viable living.
