What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Doing a Dual degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Agribusiness majoring in Livestock. Working and gaining experience in a range of fields in agriculture. Applying and participating in workshops, committees, associations and programs which provide me with training, resources, networking and experience in a variety of Ag related fields.

Why are you passionate about farming?

We have grown up with a love for producing food that feeds people and a love for animals and the land. We have always been farming and find passion in learning how to constantly improve the future of Agriculture. How to farm more efficiently, sustainably and adopt uses of new technologies in the industry. We love being able to find ways of making farming more profitable for farmers and just a pure passion for living self sustainably and seeing food produced and feeding the world.

Best days of being a farmer:

Our Dream Farm would be to have a mixed operation running a Dairy and Stud Goat farm. It would be set in parts of either SEQ, Northen NSW or Tasmania. We would love to be able to wake up early every morning milk my cows, see the sunrise, feed and look after my animals. Spend the day improving pastures, crop utilisation, infrastructure and fencing etc. Constantly be working on ways of improving the functionality of the farm and processes. Test new technologies and network with other farmers. We would love to be able to teach new generations as well. And to close the day with an afternoon Milking and drink looking out at the beautiful view and just taking in the serenity of what we love doing.
