What have you been doing to get farm ready?

We were born farm ready, just not into our own farm. Daniel has spent some time working on a cattle station in WA and helping contractors out on his days off. I have a Bachelor of Agriculture with 7 years experience as a Research Agronomist and have now taken a new role as a field biologist for an Agchem company developing chemicals.

Why are you passionate about farming?

There is nothing better than growing. Farming is all about growth. It's about personal growth, animal growth and crop growth. In Agriculture, no matter what we are doing we are always striving to produce the best quality and quantity. And I love that. It's a high achieving industry, forever evolving and developing new systems and strategies to overcome issues. Without farms we are hungry, naked and sober.

Best days of being a farmer:

Our dream farm is in Northern NSW on basalt soil. Consisting of cropping and livestock diving into a few niche markets. The best days are working hard out in the fresh open air, whether it be on a tractor or chasing cattle on horseback. To come home to the amazing homestead with manicured gardens.
