What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Why are you passionate about farming?

I love how diverse and how exciting farming is, no two days are the same and I love being able to try new things to improve productivity and yields, it’s such a unique industry and I love overcoming the daily challenges.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm would be in the western district of Victoria. After working down there after I finished agricultural college I loved seeing the different farming methods, high yielding crops and the highly reliable rainfall of the area. My second dream farm location would be the Yorke peninsula, I love the views and the highly productive soils of the area. The open space and ability to use bigger machinery appeals to me as I have a passion for improving efficiency and time management. My best days are spent doing my favourite job, Harvesting. I love seeing the results of all of the hard work and seeing the changes in yield through the paddocks and finding ways to improve poorer soils/areas of paddocks. I have always found harvest time to be such a great time of the year seeing all the grain come in and everyone’s high spirits and great weather.
