What have you been doing to get farm ready?

Since 2010 Been employed at a Pet Food processing factory in Howlong as a Fitter/Turner and also responsible for the waste water processing area which includes 300 acres of farmland which is under crops -wheat & oats + open grazing under phalaris etc + I alternate sheep + Angus/Charolais cattle. Irrigation is also included within the role. Have purchased David Brown tractors1410 - 885 & a quantity of implements , irrigation equip. during this period which I own outright

Why are you passionate about farming?

Grew up west of Mackay,North Qld on sugar cane n cattle property, stayed on the farms after finishing apprenticeship until Dad sold out in late 90's. Since 2010 with my current employment which intergrates the adjoining farm has reignited my passion to get back onto the land

Best days of being a farmer:

Crop / livestock farming within 100 kms of here would b ideal but open to all offers . Have always had cattle in varying numbers but Last few years have been buying sheep to fatten n turnaround as quickly as possible which has been very hands on & enjoying the challenges involved.
