What have you been doing to get farm ready?

I'd like to say that I've spent my life getting ready. I've grown up farming and have seen the ups and the downs of farming in all its raw glory. But in a more practical sense I've worked on farms in a range of roles, industries and areas to build experience. I studied agricultural at UNE and I have completed courses such as preg testing and AI. I have also attended financial planning workshops and have been in discussions with the bank. My partner Rachel has also completed a range of courses, is a qualified vet nurse and runs a small short horn stud.

Why are you passionate about farming?

Farming is my life it has always been what I know and I what I love, there just has never been any other plan but to get to a farm. The only question is when.

Best days of being a farmer:

My dream farm is hard to describe as I'm fairly open to most things, whether that is a small starter block near home or an opptunity to delevop the North. But for now I think that a smaller block of under 500 acres would work if it could be planted to oats and then grazed by cattle or sheep.
