What have you been doing to get farm ready?

After igniting my passion for agriculture, I went back to university and completed a Graduate Diploma in Rural Science which has given my a broad but technical understand associated with agriculture. I have also put myself through Grazing for Profit school and the Next Steps program with RCS. In my current role in merchandise sales wilth Delta Ag, I am fortunate enough to get a lot of training and exposure to many different operations and access to people with expertise in many areas. In the future I plan to do a low stress stock handling and leadership/people management courses.

Why are you passionate about farming?

I want to drive positive change in agriculture towards resilient businesses that are focused on efficient and regenerative practices. I am very interested in individual livestock performance data particularly in commercial operations.

Best days of being a farmer:

In short my vision is to live relatively remotely on a grazing property that I own and for additional financial security, as well as to satisfy my need for mental stimulation, in the future I want to be part of a consulting business that exists to support other agribusinesses achieve their goals. Ideally this would mean I spend my time as follow (in equal parts): - in the paddock - working on the business - in a consulting role - in a truck
